Over the course of a year (2013-14), I led and coordinated workshops for children and teens undergoing serious illness in Miami, Florida. Through a grassroots effort, the workshops were initiated through donations of materials from the community and partnerships were established between cultural institutions in an effort provide art classes both inside and outside of the hospital environment. The workshops concluded with an outdoor exhibition for participants and families to enjoy at the Freehand Hostel in Miami Beach.
